Jeanne Carey
Monday to Friday, working as an architect, Jeanne spends long hours in a world of precision and detail. On the weekend, at her home in Marblehead, she sets that aside, picks up wire, charcoal, paint, a camera or whatever feels fresh - and plays. She likes to explore, trusting intuition, responding to each move with another, patiently layering ideas on ideas until a satisfying surprise emerges.
Jeanne is a member of the New England Experimental Art Group, Marblehead Art Association, Rocky Neck Art Colony, and the Griffin Museum of Photography. She is a graduate of Syracuse University School of Architecture and has studied art through a plethora of workshops and night classes in a wide range of media over decades.
