Jeff Steiner
Jeff Steiner is a watercolor artist known for capturing the energy and atmosphere of urban streetscapes and distinctive architectural settings. After his career as an architect—earning more than 20 AIA design awards—Jeff transitioned from quick ink-and-marker concept sketches to the expressive immediacy of watercolor. The medium’s fluidity complements his bold, impressionistic style, characterized by simplified shapes, strong light and shadow, and a limited, purposeful palette.
Since relocating to downtown Minneapolis in 2020, Jeff has embraced Plein Air painting, often exploring the city by scooter with his watercolor kit in tow.
