Jon Sarkin
Jon Sarkin (1953-2024) was a visionary outsider artist based in Gloucester, MA.
Jon is represented by the Henry Boxer Gallery in London and has been the subject of many articles and books. Most recently, Murray Whyte, art critic and columnist for the Boston Globe, wrote a full-page article about Jon’s life and artwork. The Sarkin style shares some attributes of illustrators Saul Steinberg and R, Crumb, but always with his signature style, text, and often a Gloucester reference. Or at least a fish.
